Matthijs, Jordy, Mike and Bernadette form the core team of HVO Meat. Behind it, of course, is an entire production team that specialises in selecting, boning and cutting veal and lamb of the highest quality. Meat is our core team’s greatest passion as well. In addition, our team is happy to dedicate every day to personal contact and fulfilling wishes.

HVO Meat was founded in 1989 by Henk van Oijen as a calf and lamb cutting plant. In 1996, the company was taken over by Martin de Jong, after which it grew to 25 employees. In 2014, Matthijs de Jong took over, who had a beautiful new and sustainable building built in 2022 to carry out our work even better.

Our contribution to a better world
The head office and butchery is a modern, extra-insulated building in Waddinxveen. Various choices for a more sustainable process were made in the butchery as well. For example, a cooling system based on CO₂ is used and the cleaning water is heated with residual heat from the cooling and freezing plant. The building is equipped with innovative loading docks and LED lighting. We also generate our own energy with the 800 solar panels on the roof.
